A Misty Monday Morning Miracle!

Congratulations and big thanks to Belinda Durkin at the Dover Souls Tribute Website!

Belinda was gifted by a friend with an extremely RARE original vinyl pressing of the Dover Souls hit single, "Misty Monday Morning". And she has very generously chosen to share it with all of us in Mp3 form.

To hear this wonderful recording, please visit the Dover Souls Tribute Website and click on the link in the Breaking News section.

Then sit back and enjoy the dulcet tones of Kim Carlyle's "Honey Vicarro" co-star, the late Anthony Smithe-Jones, performing what is perhaps his most famous song.

DookMook,

I'm trying to keep an open mind, I really am! But these stories have been circulating for years. Do you really think they preserve the memory of Kim?

Perhaps we should just let the dead rest!

Then again, this is all so titillating. A refrigeration unit???

Greetings, Gene! So good to have the ultimate Honey Vicarro fan with us.

Yes, I honestly do feel this page does a service to Kim Carlyle.

As you say, some of these stories have been circulating for years, as have many of the seamier details surrounding her life. What has been lacking, I think, is some context as to why Kim may have done the things she did.

So many people look at the affairs, the drugs, the scandals and think that this is all there is to know about Kim Carlyle. What I would like to do with this blog is help the public understand her true motivations. Kim had foibles and human failings, like everybody else, that led her to follow the path she chose. I hope these pages will reflect that humanity.

I *do* believe Kim is still with us, though she would seem to be just another "Candle in the Wind" to many. I believe she very bravely chose to escape a public persona that had become a prison to her. To do so, she had to snuff out one of the brightest lights in Hollywood, leaving only her legend to burn on. She gave up everything to have her freedom. And that, I think, makes her so much more than simply the messed-up sex kitten her reputation has described.

So, though our methods may be different, I think that you and I are on the same mission.

Namaste,
DukeMook

Thank you so much for posting the announcement of the Dover Souls Misty Monday Morning on my tribute web site. We in "Soulville" are giddy with joy at this discovery. I only wish I had a cleaner copy. Someday, someday. Anyway, thanks again and I love your site. I visit it all the time to keep up on the news and agree with you about 80% of the time. Take Care!
